Séamus (pronounced Shay-mus) is ADAMAS' current "do it all" male-- with the brains and temperament to match his physique.  His sire is a Best in Show, multi Best in Specialty Show, DPCA Top 20 Conformation finalist and DPCA Award of Merit winner AND his CH/CDX/ROM dam's litter brother and half sister were DPCA Top 20 Agility finalists; giving Séamus the right mix of beauty, brains, athleticism and temperament.

In his conformation debut at 6 mos, 3 days, Séamus went Best of Winners for a 4 point major.  In limited showing, he finished at 15 months of age with a total of FOUR major wins (two 3-pts, one 4-pt and one 5-pt) to complete his championship completely breeder/owner/handled.  He then moved on to limited specialing with Elizabeth, acquiring multiple Best in Specialty Show wins, multiple Best of Breed wins, a Group win and multiple Group placements.  He continued to impress audiences through his participation in obedience and agility.

..... Séamus- The Therapy Dog .....

Now retired from life in the spotlight, Séamus has been certified through Therapy Dogs International.  In addition to multiple visits with children at an autistic kids camp, he regularly helps kids learn to read at area libraries.  Children who are embarrassed to read in front of adults due to their poor reading skills, will gladly read to a dog, as the dog will not judge or correct them.  This builds the child's self confidence and desire to improve his/her reading skills.

Children line up in the library to be the next
to read to Séamus.  Afterwards, the kids receive
a trading card sized bookmark with a photo
of Séamus  saying, "Thanks for reading to me!"

Séamus gets some cuddle time with the kids
while one girl reads to him.

July 24, 2005...Stuck on the interstate for 3-1/2 hours due to a tractor trailer accident,  Séamus entertained two van-loads of children on a Church-sponsored weekend outing with obedience signals, tricks and games of catch.  Afterwards, the girls in the group hung out with Séamus on the roadside in an attempt to cool off.
