About the artist .
Raymond-Paul Moats

Raymond Paul Moats, paints Aviation, it’s history, technology, man and
machine. His art is a realist impressionist style that draws upon intimate technical imagination,
color, energy and the dynamics of flight.

He relishes the challenge in illustrating the abstract concept. This adept quality is used to
create visual realities in his favorite art medium, oils, as exhibited by his publication illustrations
and special presentation art which have been reported on in the aviation press..

Always the objectivist, his passion for the Great Spiritual Truths so eloquently drafted into
America's Declaration of Independence and the 1789 Constitution are demonstrated by his
art, writing and presentations. Industry, military and national leaders have been presented
with his creations.

He is a published artist, in the print media: book, magazine covers, articles, trade journals,
house organs and advertising and film. His creative flair and art directing ability have been
recognized by awards and notice in the press, local and national aviation journals.

A Pennsylvanian, he now makes his home in Windsor, South Carolina.

The artist is a participant in the Air Force Art Program. He has had works in memorials
and museums, in Germany and the states. He was a contributing artist for the McGuire
Foundation and Air Mobility Command at McGuire Air Force Base, N.J.and is an active
member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, and the AOPA.
