In The Works
Yes, . . . time has passed since I have had the chance to spend time drawing and painting.
I am back in the studio putting the brushes to work after they have enjoyed a very long 4 year vacation.

Since the move to South Carolina, it has been a trying time and a major period of no new art
except for "Christopher Cricket", a series of illustrations for a childrens book .
Been at work repairing the home and setting up a vegetable garden, plumbing, landscaping
and on and on and on. Included in the challenges is my role as a care-giver for my wife,
a cancer victim who was taken by this repugnant disease!
By the way, in home Hospice was a great comfort, these people are wonderfull.

Stressful indeed! But on to the art and some new images and things which were left
undone on the easel and drawing board.

So, . . . here is what is in the works for these next 6 months.
. . . .

Here are some details and sizes of the originals.
The first image is a KC-10 turning off after refuling a C-141B. 38 by 14 inches, canvas on panel, oil.
Number two image is a C-141B headed west to the Bone Yard and climbing out to take it's place is the C-17. 32 by 18 inches, stretched canvas, oil.
Image three is the C-17, now a work horse on the go from sunrise to sunset. 16 by 30 inches, stretched canvas, oil.
Image Four is a KC-10 refueling three A-10's. 19 by 44 inches, oil on panel.

Will keep you all posted at each completion.

I will be posting the progress for each one as things get back in production.
Here's to drying paint and some Air Shows!

I have a major venue to exhibit my new and current works.
The Barnwell County new Airport Terminal. Really big walls and they are bare!
Have the B-24 "Home Again" hung there with some prints, and soon, more.

After the of four USAF Air Mobility aircraft, which are works in progress have been compleated,
I will venture on to a major series of originals based on aircraft and groups stationed
at South Carolina Army Air Force bases.
Here, in South Carolina, there was much training at what seems to be an airfield
by every major city and large hamlet. The south did much to host and prepare air groups for
every theater in WWII combat operations and victory. They will be exhibited at Barnwell.

Lots of people and units trained in South Carolina.
There is quite a lot of history here, and little remembered of that very trying time!
It will be different and I look forward to the challenge.
The works will have a bit of humor, very poetic and scenic.

Look for continued postings!

You might want to look from time to time
for specials as I clear out some
older prints, posters and "Canvas Masters".

Cheers
Raymond
