At first I was afraid, I got so upset
When I heard that Broadway's show of CATS wasn't to be kept
And then I spent so many nights
Thinkin' how Webber did us wrong
And I grew strong
And in ten years a revival must come along!
And it will come back from the West End!
Until then, Mr. Webber will be without a friend.
He should've kept our favorite show
Because now we're all angry
But in 2010, it'll be back if we believe!
Go on now, go, to the stage door!
Go on and protest, because there's no "CATS" anymore!
Andrew Lloyd Webber tried to hurt us with goodbye!
But we'll never crumble!
We won't let "CATS" lay down and die!
Oh no, not I!
"CATS" will survive
And as long as I know how to sing the memory will stay alive;
I've got all the songs to sing;
In our ears, let's let it ring!
And "CATS" will survive, "CATS" will survive!

It took all the purrs I had not to fall apart
Kept trying' hard to mend the whiskers of my kitten heart,
And I spent oh so many full moons
Just feeling sorry for myself.
My yellow eyes

But this here cat hasn't had her last mew
We pledge that we will fight for "CATS" until it's born anew!

If he doesn't set "CATS" free:
