Midnight. Not a sound from Y2K
Has the bug lost it's memory
It is fluttering alone
In my computer, the working chips collect all my data
But my hard drive does not moan.
Memory. Not enough in my hard drive.
I will smile when I get more
It will be beautiful then.
When I get some then I'll know what happiness is
Let the memory grow again.
Every microchip seems to click a fatalistic warning
"Add more memory! Download more helps!
Or I won't work in the morning!"
Daylight. I must wait for the download
It is taking forever
Yet I musn't give in
When the dawn comes, maybe it will finally finish
And the program will begin.
Endless waiting on this slow computer
While everyone else is faster
The screen blinks once
Can it be finally done?
Oh no! I have to start over!
Why me!? Why must I constantly take this?
I have no more memory!
But I won't let it win!
I'll just buy me another computer that works
And a new life will begin!
