NEW YEAR'S EVE 2003 - THE KINGS HEAD |

New Years Eve 2003 proved to be a very interesting evening for me. Unable to consume adult beverages due to medication made me realize just how foolish people can get during the course of an evening of fun and drink. |
The party at the Kings Head pub on Church Street, Owestry, Shropshire proved just such a night. Every one seems to be having a very good time. For the first time since I have been coming to this town (25 + years) I was able to remember everything that happened the night prior, and I still enjoyed my self. |
There was only one incident that happened that evening where Security (Adam) politely asked one patron to leave (OK he escorted him to the door). Funny part about this is the guy came back and tried to get back in. Adam told him flatly. "No". The guy persisted in trying to get back in. A Bobby just happened to be walking by and saw the incident and asked if this guy was causing a disturbance. When Adam told the Bobby, "yes" the man was arrested and placed in a convenient paddy wagon and given a home for the night. |
Who said there was never a cop around when you need one? |
I feel the security of the Pub was handled very well. The front door was locked and no one was allowed in once the heavy indulgence of adult beverages began. This kept the pub crawling troublemakers out. |
