I Jn 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Beware of Oneness Pentecostals! Beware too of those who say that Jesus later BECAME God after receiving the Spirit, neither coming as God nor dying on that cross as both God and man in the flesh!
We're in the Battle over who Jesus Christ is. Remember, witnessing to Jesus by the Spirit of Prophecy is the only true testimony of the true Jesus, the Son of the living God and Lord and Christ!.
It's all boils down to the battle between His true witnesses (those of the light) and the false witnesses (those of the darkness). These are the last days. Proof? "The Revelation of Jesus Christ is being heavily attacked - the revelation of who He is (and isn't) has begun...
We know that the Father sent His only begotten Son:
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
We know that there are three divine Persons in the One Triune God:
I Jn 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
We know that Jesus never speaks of Himself as the Only God:
John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
We know that Jesus is the Word made flesh and dwelt among us:
John 1:1-2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
And finally we know that the Word of God, whom we call Jesus, was made flesh and went to the Cross:
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
The following Scripture exposes those who believe and teach that Jesus is the One and Only God: masquerading as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit:
I Jn 2:22-24 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
And exposes those who believe and teach that Jesus (as God, the Word made flesh = the Son) didn't come and/or die in the flesh...
II Jn 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
I Jn 4:1-3 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
1 Cor 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord (i.e. God), but by the Holy Ghost.
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
So beware of any false teachings that say Jesus is the ONLY God - OR that He did not come as God and/or die as God (the Word/Son) on that cross - OR that He later became God - OR that He was not God (the eternal Word) made manifest, seen and felt (1 John 1:1-2) in the flesh as God's Only Begotten Son!
I Jn 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
