How you live that life is up to you! You can either live it "Doing it my way", or you can become "Born Again and live it anew". That choice is yours and has always been yours. It's not "the choice" we make that causes us to become Born Again. "God" causes our change "IF and WHEN" we make the right choice!

Let me show you what I mean....

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

What the Bible is clearly telling us is that we're all going to die, and once we do we're going to be judged. There is no escaping it! We're all going to die and unless we've been Born Anew we'll all have to come before the judgement seat of God.
Now if that's the case (and it is) then don't you think you should know a little bit about it first? Seeing that it will be "God" whom you will be going before and that will be doing the judging after we die then it becomes clear that we need to read and hear what "God" has to say about it all in order to get a better understanding, to help us in making "The Right Choice"!

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Allright, one of the first things that Jesus (i.e. God in the flesh) says is that it's imperative that we get born again. Without a new birth; before our heart stops and we physically die, no one will be able to even "see", let alone "enter" (John 3:5) the kingdom of God. For such people the judgement can only be the worst of news. In fact, it will be so horrible as to not want to be believed - but the actuality of it all will dispell all doubts.

It will be my purpose here to show you how this "miracle of new birth" can be done! It will be your duty to take God seriously and start reading the New Testament of the Bible as you seek God for answers. Remember what's important - God is alive and well and we read the Scriptures in order to see Him in them and come to Him for LIFE and FOR life....

John 5:39-40 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

Experiencing what Hell is like is only the first step to those who have not been born again. The second step lasts forever, by being tossed into the second death, the Lake of Fire. This can all be avoided by making the right choice!
To show you that there is a place called hell where all who have not been born again go you need to read the story of the rich man and Lazarus....

Luke 16:19-31 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

How does one cross that great gulf and impassable chasm that lies between the righteous and the unrighteous? How does one get on the Other Side? We see that it was too late for the rich man of this story, for he died and immediately went to hell. However - If he had been Born Again he wouldn't have gone to hell in the first place. Stay tuned friend, because I am going to show you how you too can be Born Again.

You've gotta believe that God means and will do every word He ever inspired or spoken! He is a "Holy God" not some invention of a sick human mind that doesn't know Him. He will do everything He says He will. He cannot lie!
He loves the world, yes, but does the world love Him? Do they love Him enough to die for Him, as He has loved us and died for us?....

John 15:13 - Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 - Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

Note in verse 13 where we haven't been given any choice. God loves us greatly! He laid down His life to save us! He did this on His own, apart from anything we may think or do otherwise. "It is over and done with." The work needed to save us has been accomplished in the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, wether we like it, or believe it or not! He died to save all mankind -- but only those who are his friends will benefit by it.

Do you see the two-way street here??? First of all, we can do nothing to save ourselves!!! (In fact, if we try, then we're no believer, no friend of His.) All of the work necessary to say us has been accomplished by the Lord Jesus Christ! IT IS FINISHED! His work alone (at the cross) completely satisfied the righteousness and the heart of God. Anything else stems from unbelief! We can only come to Him and accept His free gift, as we become Born Again to serve the Living God - not as zombies but as men who freely gave and give of themselves to love and serve Him by obeying Him as a friend.

Secondly, take note of verse 14, and especially the word "IF". It is impossible to keep His words (i.e. do whatsoever I command you) unless one has been spiritually Born Again. What that Scripture is clearly saying is that Jesus is your personal friend (the one whom He has laid down His life for) "IF" you keep His commandments! The words are very clear and very simple, the moment that you intend on keeping His commands with all your heart, all your mind and all your soul, is the moment you will be born again.

1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

God wants no one to perish in their sins! He did what was necessary on His end to do away with all of the obstacles that were between us, through the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Son of the living God. Now we have to do ours - repent of our sins and believe and receive the salvation that He wants to give us. Simple as that! I repeat: "The moment that you intend on keeping His commands with all your heart, all your mind and all your soul, is the moment you will be "Born Again". At that moment He will call you, "His friend"!

You only have one life to live... and you only have two choices to choose from in how to live it: In "Victory and Life" or in "Defeat and Death". You can choose Defeat and Death by living that life of yours "doing it my way" (i.e. in the power of your own strength - your own flesh), as you always had, and it will soon be over... gauranteed!
