YOU ARE THE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD!

Define: "Law and Grace"!

My position on "Keeping the Sabbath Day", and/or any of the other Jewish laws and customs?, is as follows....

2 Cor 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

"NOT OF THE LETTER"! It is indeed "The Letter of the Law" that the Jewish roots movement is into! That is what "Kills"!
It is clearly written that the Law "was" our school master that brought us to Christ...
Gal 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Now I ask you seriously, once you have come to Christ and have received "The Spirit", what need do you have anymore of coming under The Law? answer: "NONE!" :)
Gal.3:25 But after that faith is come, we are "no longer" under a schoolmaster.

The Law is finished with you! You have DIED and your new-life is now hidden with Christ in God!

We no longer are made ministers of the old testament but the new! Jesus came bringing with Him the New Testament written in His blood...(Matt.26:28), when the curtain of the temple was rent in two...(Mark 15:38),the Old (shadow and figure) way was done away with and He Himself became the New and Living Way to God...(Heb.10:20).

Mark 2:27-28
27 "And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath."

"The Sabbath was made for man! Man wasn't made for the Sabbath, but for the Lord! (Mark 2:27) The Lord is "Over" the Sabbath, therefore "worship Him", who is OVER every day, for He made them all!

We are FREE from from sin and death, which comes by "our" trying to serve the law (the 10 Commandments!)...

Rom 8:1-4
1 "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

The entire PURPOSE of the law was to make me KNOW that it was "Holy", and until "I" became "Holy" as well. I could not keep it in the real way it was designed to keep through faith, thus proving me a sinner worthy only of death!
When the commandment accomplished in me what God had designed it for, it ended up proving me guilty of breaking it, thus condemned me to death, which then brought me to Christ for mercy!
Therefore God's whole purpose for the law was to show me that I was a sinner who deserved only death! The law did in me what God designed it to do. "Mission accomplished!"....

Rom 7:4-11
4 "Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me."

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." "Believing in Him", is the only requirement".
(see my article on what that means: "The Faith That Overcomes": March 2001 Newsletter)

Therefore, if we ADD "ANY Requirement" OF ANY KIND (i.e. "Sabbath Keeping", "Water Baptism", "Penance", "Sacraments", etc) to His offer of FREE GRACE, by us doing so would be our way of "Rejecting Him" (through His offering of Free Unmerited Grace) as being an "Offense" to our faith, the kind of faith that says: "THE FREE AND UNEARNED GRACE OF GOD, OFFENDS ME, and I will add to it 'MY' works"!

Rom 3:27-28
27 "Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law."

So, whenever anyone "ADDS Anything" to "New Testament GRACE" they Break "His Holy Commandment":

Rom 9:30-33
30 "What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed."

"For Christ is THE END OF THE LAW for righteousness to every one that believeth." Rom.10:4
