By the founding of Babylon and Nineveh we have a hint given of the nature of Nimrod. We are told here that he was "the first mighty man on earth," i.e., after the flood. That phrase, "mighty man," takes us back to Genesis 6 where, in that strange story of the invasion of the "sons of God" into the human race, there resulted a race of giants called Nephilim.
We are told that "these were the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown." This demonic invasion of the race, with sexual overtones, brought into being a race of giants that were morally degraded. These also appear later on in the Canaanite tribes. We have found this suggestive line of thought running through the Scriptural account up to this point.
And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.
And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. Out of that land went forth Ashur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah: the same is a great city
(Genesis 10:8-12).
Nimrod apparently was one of these "mighty men," and therefore introduced a perverted, degraded form of religion into the world. It began at Babylon, spread to Nineveh, and can be traced in history as it subsequently spread throughout the whole of the earth. Thus, in this man Nimrod, we have the seed of idolatry and false religion coming in again after the flood.
Babylon becomes, in history, the fountainhead of false religion in the Post-Flood world. The city Babylon and Iraq figure in Biblical prophecies connected with the end of the age.
"Mystery Babylon" is a theme seen even more in Bible prophecy. Revelation 17-18 depicts God's final judgment of world religion plus world commerce and trade since these man-made systems have sprung from the source rebellion of Nimrod and Babel.
Nimrod was not just a powerful man on the earth at that time, he was a tyrannical leader of men. The phrase "a mighty hunter before the Lord" suggests that it was not wild beasts that Nimrod was hunting, but men. Having hunted them he would enslave them and have a tyranical hold over them. And all this was done in direct opposition to the Lord.
Rev 16:14 "For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty."
My questions are in light of these "last days" when it is obvious that there is going to be a One World Government and a One World Church, just like there was in Nimrod's day.
In the days of Nimrod we see him and all the world coming together in order to build a one world government: "Babylon", and a one world religion as well: "The Tower of Babel." All so that the world would be as ONE (as it was in the days of Genesis 6 prior to the flood).
"Spiritually speaking", this 'wanting to come together and be one' mentality, is the spirit behind the antichrist: the world's "god" coming to power as being one of THEM! They would honor no "god" but the one of their own making and bringing about! After all, they are the sons of this "god" who allows them to live in any way they please, rather than sons of the God made after His image.
(From "Babylon", sprang the works of all the rebellion and "spiritual adulteries" (Genesis 6:1-7) ever performed against God - Rev.17:4-5.)
We also know that this was Satan's way of once again trying to destroy the word of God (as he had tried before prior to the flood) and thereby destroy the descendants in the line of Jesus, thus stop Him from being born!
God said: "Go and Multiply" - Satan (through Nimrod) said, "No, gather together here with me at Babylon, and let us be of one mind, and let us build a city (a one world government) where everyone can come and live, and then we will build us a tower of worship where we will have a one world religion as well and worship together."
As you know God came and "confused" their language and they were scattered abroad, otherwise Christ would never have been born, and man would have been utterly polluted as he had been before the flood (except for one person: "Noah"). God destroyed them all off the face of the earth (because of Gen.6).
I see that the last days, "Taking The Mark", is very similar to what we see happening in Gen.6 with the sons of God and the daughters of men. It being a work of absolute apostacy! I am still closely examining the relationship between what went on in Gen. 6 and the 5th trumpet of revelation with its "5 months".
The sons of God and the daughters of men = (which I believe are) "THE FEET OF THE IMAGE", part of iron, part of clay... that will be the entire Statue that Nebuchaddnezzar saw re-appearing again on the earth - Daniel 2:31-35, also Daniel 2:41-43
Sorry pre tribbers but it won't be until the days when these Kings (the iron and the clay) will be in power: "Daniel 2:44", when Christ will appear, crush them, and set up His own Kingdom!
It will *NOT BE UNTIL* THE FEET of this IMAGE appears on the scene that Christ will then come and slay it and break it into pieces, and His Kingdom will be the great mountain that fills the earth!
So.... I see the day when the world will be as ONE (Government and Religion) again, and the single Ruler over them all will be The Beast. The Antichrist will rule the Governments, and the False Prophet will rule their religions as one!
I also see that this will be when "All the world's Religions (Including watered-down Christianity)" will come together as ONE and be made to fit into ONE Body as well, called, "Babylon the Great", and the high priest over this Body of "believers" will be the False Prophet!
Oh how we see all of this so very CLEARLY happening today! "Imitation Christians - Matt.13:37-43". "Disobedient Christians - Luke 6:46. 49."
There is so much POLLUTION going on in the Church now and all of it in the name of UNITY, a False Unity where God's word has become despised, and the False Unity of Love without the Love for the Truth has taken over.
No wonder He won't find any faith on earth when He comes!
No wonder there will be an absolute shortage of the hearing the word of God!
No wonder we are told to "Come out of her" so that we don't receive her plagues at His appearing!
The Last Days Church is fast becoming a Harlot - a Spiritual Whore - the Greatest one of them all!
To those having eyes to see and ears to hear, this "Apostacy" is Obviously in full swing now through the spirit of "ECUMENISM" (i.e. "the spirit of the False Prophet"). This is the same rebellious spirit that was at work in building the Tower of Babel in Nimrod's day.
And today every one of these "Ecumenical Christians" are fast at work polluting the faith. Their polluting work is being done so much so as to make what's left of the visually seen church of non effect and non important, in order to build the One World Church/System and submit to "IT" (and it's False Priest and Prophet), rather than have to obey and submit to "Christ and obey His words - As The Only True Priest and Prophet - Alone"!
As it was in Nimrod's day and the tower of Babel, so too is the spirit of the antichrist fast at work in todays world in working together as one in order to bring together as one a One World Government - a "Coalition of Nations", rather than dare to have "Christ - As The Only True Lord and King - Alone" rule over them!
Only the strong (those who Love the truth, thus know their Lord and follow only Him) will survive! The rest of "professing Christianity" (the tares) will take the Mark... and they will Apostacize!
It's only a matter of time before what the Lord knows true Christianity to be goes complely underground, or goes the way of the DODO.
What we see out there today passing itself off for Christianity is fast becoming an unholy and rebellious stench in God's nostrils. And what's out there is really beginning to stink to high heaven!
