WHAT DOES JESUS SAY!?

Is the Word of God speaking to your heart? Do you know what the Word of God is saying? (Then happy are you who does what He says! - John 13:17 -)
Since giving yourself to Him have you experienced God's personal love to you? In other words, have you been poured out within and filled with The Spirit and made anew? Somehow it's still "you", yet it's not "you" anymore, but a Brand New You - a Born Again You! Then you should know what Jesus says, why He says them, and what and who it is that motivates us for doing those words of His....

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. John 14:23-24

Look again at the "MOTIVATION" behind KEEPING His words/doctrines/teachings/commandments --- "If a man - LOVE ME", --- he will, without question, keep my words!

What (rather "Who" = The Holy Spirit) keeps us on track? What (rather "Who" = The Holy Spirit) empowers us so that we may obey Jesus? What (rather "Who" = The Holy Spirit) is it that causes us to embrace "His" words and embrace them?

"IT IS LOVE!"

He says that "IF" we Love Him then we will keep His words -- and if we don't we won't. That's all there is to it!

Take a look at Ephesians 3....
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Ephesians 3:16-19

Not only must our faith be grounded in Christ, but the "Root" of our faith as well must be deeply embedded in... LOVE... Love that was and is deep within Christ, and is the ONLY way to be able to comprehend the awesome love of God towards us, passing all of mans knowledge, by being FILLED to overflowing with the Holy Spirit!

When the person becomes FILLED with the Holy Spirit (i.e. with the Spirit of Love and of Truth!), then there remains no explanations that is necessary or needed to tell us what God is like! To know Him as LOVE, is to know Him! This divine "Experience" or "Anointing" contains within it our having a "First-Hand" knowing of God, His Spirit to our spirit...

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 1 John 2:27

Of course the "anointing" that we speak of here is of the kind that the world does not and cannot comprehend apart from Christ! It is a "Divinely Hidden Love" - Love hidden between the Father and the Son, and only revealed through the Spirit! It is "The Love Of God" shining in the face of Jesus, for God is Love! There is no way for one to experience God (and thus no way for us to see/taste/touch what He is like) without experiencing "His Stupendous Love" first hand for ourselves.

It is in this very love of His - a love so powerful, so strong, so pure, and so full of ...??? ... "PURE LOVE"... that it was this "same love" (God's Love) that sent Jesus to the cross -- and it was this "same love" that Jesus (the Word who became flesh - John 1) always had for the Father and that the Father always had for the Son from before time, as demonstrated by the Holy Spirit to those who receive Him.

What Love is this that would take the Son of man, Jesus Christ, have Him set aside His God-hood, in order to obey the Father's will and go to the cross... for us? What a stupendous love this is! In fact it is so wonderous that it will change a man forever.

Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Isaiah 49:15

The Love of God goes way beyond mortal love. He will never forget His only begotten Son and what He accomplished on the believers behalf, nor can we forget Him. Once there was nothing - no personal knowledge of God at all - then, upon our hearing and receiving the Gospel: "Wham" - everything happened all at once! This is the infilling with the Holy Spirit pouring out in our hearts the love of God, bringing with Him a new birth in Christ!

Even though none of us have seen Him in the flesh we can and do relate with Peter...
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 1 Peter 1:8

Through "faith" He has been revealed to us by the Spirit, and we are made to see the Oneness of the Father and the Son, and the Love - and the kind of Love and what this love consists of - that flows between the Father and the Son, causing us to say: "Thy will be done in earth as it is done in heaven".

Now we know that "LOVE" ('God's Love' and 'God is Love') is what and who Motivates' us to do His will. Not only to DO it, but it is what motivates us to WANT to DO it and want to DO it with all our heart.

To "WANT" to do something means that we are not "FORCED" to do it! The choice is ours, either to Do His will when we know that we should, or not do it...(Matthew 21:28-30)
It is important to realize that this "freedom" even applied to Jesus when He walked the earth... (Matthew 26:52-53)
God does not "force" people to obey His will!!!

None of us are... "Zombies". We are free to come and go as we please. But once He is known and His Love is experienced (i.e. "Once He touches us") it's all over. There is no love like this anywhere...perfect in every way.

In us is a "BIG HOLE"! That "Hole" needs to be FILLED! And, before we meet the Lord we all try to fill it - with the world, and with the things in the world, so much so that we end up loving the world and our life in it.

So, with all of this in mind....

How can we call ourselves "Christians" If we place any value at all in feeling that we are entitled to live a life of our own separate from, in a different direction than, and at the expense of His?
How can we call ourselves "Christians" if we place any temporal value at all in our having to be somebody and something in the eyes of men rather than eternally in the eyes of God?
How can we call ourselves "Christians" if we choose to put more faith and trust in our own words than we do His?
How can we call ourselves "Christians" if we allow our life and ambitions in this world over-shadow His own life and what He seeks from each of us?
How can we call ourselves "Christians" if we should place a higher value in our own integrity and outward appearances than we do in Christ and His humility in dying like a criminal for us upon a cross?
How can we call ourselves "Christians" if we value having to speak our own mind, and expound our own wisdom, rather than having a mouth that speaks only when we hear God speak?
How can we call ourselves "Christians" if we insist on having to have our own and separate will, and pursue our own strengths and loves, rather than having a body that does only what they see God do?

And finally, it is written....

And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13

Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned. Song of Solomon 8:7

Therefore...
If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. John 14:23

May every blessing in Christ be yours,
