1 Corinthians 2:9

The Scriptures say it eloquently....

...as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. ~ I Corinthians 2:9 ~

Note: "Neither has it entered into the heart of man none of the things that God has in store for them who love Him."
Therefore, except a man is born again in, with, through and by the love of God that man has absolutely no idea of the eternal weight of glory that is reserved for them that love Him in return.

Then we continue with: 1Corinthians 2:10
BUT God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

This "BUT" shows that while all regenerated men know of this future preparation, unregenerated men on the other hand are unable to comprehend either what it all means or what God has in store for those who love Him. They haven't a clue!

From the above Scriptures there are two things which must be realized and acknowledged....

#1. All those who do love Him have been given a look into the future-glory that God has planned for His sons (those who love Him). Oh what a vision they have had of how it is!
#2. While showing how this future-glory that belongs only to those living IN Christ goes completely beyond the senses and comprehention of unregenerated man. They live in the pretenses of their own imaginations of what they think it will be like.

The things that God has prepared for those who love Him are things so full of God's glory and so glorious to be made a part of that it is shameful to compare anything we may have to go through for our faith worthy of comparison to it....

Rom 8:19-21
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

All of this - GLORY - begins the instant that Jesus Christ appears; at His second coming, in the flesh...

Heb 9:28
So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

"BUT" He will appear the second time without sin unto salvation ONLY to those who Love Him. To everyone else at that time He will appear as a flaming fire taking vengeance....

... you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospe of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. 2Th 1:7-10

Note: When Christ comes those who love Him will enjoy all the things which God had prepared for them beforehand, while those who do not love Him will suffer vengeance and everlasting destruction.

So the important thing to determine here is the difference between those who love Him and those who don't (even though they say that they do).

Those who "Love" Jesus/God are those who "Obey" Him. They obey Him because they know Him - and to know Him is to love Him! Those who don't love Him don't know Him either, and that is why they don't obey Him...
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love Him, and will manifest myself to him. John14:21

Jesus continues...
If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. (John 14:23)

And so we see that to love Him simply means to keep "His" words - thus "Doing" His will! Those who don't love Him are those who may profess to know Him BUT at the same time they don't keep His sayings....

He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. John 14:24

Those who do love Him (by keeping His words) are those who know Him (via 1 Cor.2:10; 1 John 2:27; etc.) and follow Him as well....
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: John 10:27

They are "His" sheep because they "Obey" Him! They DO what He says and do it strictly and simply because they truly do love and worship Him because they "Know" Him. (and to know Him is to love Him!)
They don't do it out of fear (1 John 4:18), they do it according to the Spirit they walk after, thus proving that they are "His" sheep of which 1 Corinthians 2:9 will find fulfillment in.***

May every blessing in Christ be yours,
