1 John 2:18-19 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

Let's find out where this spirit of antichrist comes from, and what causes people; who haven't received the Annointing of God, to want to disassociate themselves from those who do? Example....

1 John 2:20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

Now that's a pretty bold statement that John just made, however, he was inspired to say and teach that by the Holy Spirit.
There's also this statement of his that needs to be reckoned with as well....

1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

We see here that John is speaking of the same event taking place. The Unction and the Anointing are one and the same! This is the knowledge of God, the hidden knowledge that comes to us only by way of the Holy Spirit. This is the Annointing, and the Unction that John speaks of!

Note in 1 John 2:19 that John says that those (who did not have the Unction/Anointing/Spirit) left us. They departed our company and no longer remained with us. What does this tell us? Think about it! It tells us that they were made known to us and they left us. How do you suppose they were made known to us? It is because we preached and stand for the word just like Jesus did. "Thy will be done on earth", is an everyday occurance that we preach, and not just a part time or once in a lifetime commitment. Those who leave are those who disagree (with Jesus' words).

What the spirit of antichrist does is to take and give us a DIFFERENT Christ other than the one found in the Bible. Basically it is a Jesus that unrepentant men are able to live with while remaining alive to doing their sins in the flesh. Their's is a Christ who only came to suffer and die so that we may live and enjoy (this) life the way it was meant to be. This is not a Christ who came to die and to live in order to expose our sins so that all that we are and all that we treasure might be crucified with Him in order to live through Him as well.
Therefore, what this world is after (and what the spirit of antichrist provides them with) is a Christ who overlooks all manner of sin -- is easy to live with -- and where just about everyone (except Hitler's and the like) will end up in heaven.

They're looking for an easy-going, fun-loving Christ (rather than an all-powerful and serious One)... a Christ who will allow them to continue remaining alive in their sin and stay in love with the world, so long as they say they're sorry, over and over again. By all means keep them away from hearing the real meaning of the cross, one where they need to be crucified with Christ as well if they hope to live in Him.

So, this Jesus of theirs is really an Invented Christ, and one made specifically for those who love the world and refuse to be crucified with Christ... made for those not wanting to repent fully of (turn away from) their sins in order to come to Him FOR life, and for LIFE, by remaining in His words and having His words remaining/abiding in them.

Over the centuries there have been untold thousands of professing Christians and those who call themselves Christian ministers who have preached Christ. They have all professed to be His prophets, teachers and ministers, and therefore they say they represent Him. They have said that Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ. All well and good -- But have they withheld Christ's Gospel from the people as well as themselves???

[For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many]

Many preach a false Christ to us by giving us a false or partial Gospel, one that mentions nothing about the costs, or our need to be put to death with Him first, before we can go on to new life in Him. They don't preach that we must go through the Narrow Gate, and they usually preach a one-sided Gospel void of any repentance at all. Some of them say that says Jesus wasn't God at all, or that He was the only God, or that He didn't come in the flesh, or that His sacrifice was only for a chosen few instead of for the many, or any number of lies.

The reason they preach these lies is simple -- it is because they don't know Him! If they did then they wouldn't be preaching it. It's a two way street! It's not only the false minister or prophet who is giving out this false knowledge, but it is the people themselves who accept what they choose to hear who are the very ones who accept what these ministers are telling their itching ears. Yet the cross stands for all time as God's testimony to Adam's race - what He thinks of it and where it's going (one way or the other). Heaven and earth may pass away, but His words will never pass away!

I am here to tell you that until you have been dealt a life and death blow (one from which you will never recover) by the love of God in receiving the Holy Spirit in Power to enable you to live for as well as die for God, then you cannot understand where I'm coming from or where I'm going (John 3:8). I'm like the wind! It's the same way with all to whom all things are made new who receive the Power of the Spirit and are able to live the Christian life. Without this miracle happening to us personally, all else is of the antichrist! If the Gospel of salvation doesn't lead us to Him in order to know, to have and to hold Him personally, then it's all for naught! Without our being Crucified with Christ and CHANGED into new creatures, nothing else matters!

Matthew 24:23-27 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Behold, I have told you before.
Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Out of the midst of the apostacy the antichrist will come and be revealed. Those who look for Him to return beforehand, in some other way or fashion, are deceived! The words of Paul; in giving us the Spirit of prophecy by testifying of Jesus' return, says that none of this will happen until after the apostacy and after the antichrist is revealed (2 Thes. 2:1-3).

2 Thessalonians 2:8-9 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

Thus the vast majority of religious people today (as in the past) have been deceived by accepting false gospels given through the spirit of antichrist! There are as many false Gospels out there as there are anti-christs! Most of the people don't even bother to see if what the Lord says against what they believe is true or not! Why? Because He and/or His word matters not to them! I say that because they just blindly accept their false teacher's report as if it were the truth without question or concern.

Tomorrow it will be the antichrist and the false prophet in person who will be deceiving them. Remember too, that a deceived person does not know he is deceived (2 Thes. 2:10-12). Millions today have been deceived by accepting a partial gospel -- thus they have received and accepted only a partial Christ, one filled with half-truths, inuendos, and lies, believe it or not!
Please don't think this too far-fetched. It's not. Let's face it, if the people back then who killed Jesus knew who He was, they wouldn't have killed Him! (Example, look at Matthew 16:21-23)

1 John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

1 John 3:9-10a Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: ....

John 15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

1 John 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

The cross spells death to a man! To ALL men! In and of themselves man is without hope (i.e. in their Old Man, their Old Adamic nature, in who they are apart from Christ). Without laying hold of Christ man has absolutely no hope of escaping hell. And what about any false hope that a man may have of escaping the great tribulation and/or of not receiving the mark of the beast, by escaping all of this in some invented pre trib rapture designed to appease his flesh???
