Bandon Boat Harbor Photos:

Bandon's small boat harbor is very picturesque, and a great place for crabbing along the boardwalk and floating dock. Bandon has recently added a wind proof kiosk for year round picnics and an outdoor amphitheater.

Bandon's harbor becomes very picturesque when the wind and water become still, and you can catch all the reflections. High Dock Bistro is the tall building in the center.

It may be hard to read in this jpg picture, but several of these boats have signs saying "Tuna" or "Salmon". Nothing like the fresh fish purchased right from the boats.

Bandon's docks are well maintained and home to many fine fishing and pleasure boats. There are endless photo opportunities on the docks.

Accept for the occasional pleasure yacht, this could be any port in any time period. I prefer these calm days with quiet water and wind, though a bit rare.

On such a nice day, most of the boats are off floating somewhere else. There is great fishing on the ocean or in the Coquille River flowing in the background.

I love walking on the floating docks, they have a nice feel as they sway with the gentle waves. There is always a nice picture to be had somewhere along these walkways.

Sea lions can often be seen swimming in the harbor, although there does not seem to be one here. I am sure it is just under the surface.

I thought it nice that a seagull would sit on a modern boat also. They are not judgmental and will crap on most anything.
