Bandon's Coquille River Lighthouse:

This lighthouse is quaint and unique. Its design was never used for any other lighthouse. It just had its 102 nd birthday on February 29 of this year.  We designed a 2009 Coquille River Lighthouse Calendar that we sell in local shops and at the lighthouse gift store in the lighthouse itself.

This is my favorite shot of the lighthouse. It is placed at the mouth of the Coquille River across from Bandon.

This is a stark but architectural shot of the Coquille River Lighthouse.

We get lots of very nice sunsets here in Bandon, and it makes the Lighthouse look quite nice.

Storms are constantly repositioning the driftwood around the area. Here, it makes a nice frame.

In this shot the lighthouse has been partially restored and repainted. It still may change color again.

This photo was taken in early spring when the flowers are just beginning to bloom.

This is another good photo with the driftwood as a frame. This shot washed away almost immediately.

This photo is taken from a view point just off of Beach Loop that skirts the beach around Bandon.

This photo was taken through the pilings just across the Coquille River from the lighthouse.

Again, the sunset makes for a very quaint view of the Coquille River Lighthouse..

There has been quite a bit of controversy about what color to eventually paint the lighthouse..

There are quite a few flowers that bloom quite early around Bandon. This is early spring with the gorse in bloom.
