"The Roof"

We had to hand carry and place the roof trusses in to place in notches cut in the top row of logs.

5/8" plywood was place on the roof trusses that cost a fortune during the Iraq war.

The roof is nearly all buttoned up and that feels really good after all this time.
The shakes finally arrive and the crane places them on the roof for better handling.
The two guys helping with the roof owned cranberry fields in the area and did a good job.
The roof is now complete and it is really starting to look like a house if not a home.
This shot is of the plywood going on over the roof of the walk around porch.
