Bandon Sunset Photos:

Bandon has such wonderful sunsets that these pictures hardly do them justice. Sunrises aren't too bad either. They send a very special light over the many rock formations along the beach area, jetty and Coquille River Lighthouse.

This view of beach rock formations is one of our favorites. Bandon's rock formations are among the most beautiful on the Western Coast. This one of my favorite scenes.

This gorgeous colored cloud bank picture was taken from a viewpoint just off Beach Loop. I was hoping to catch the wave splashing up into the sun. I almost got it.

We had our video camera out at this particular sunset.

A beautiful rock formation with a hole though the rocks that the waves come splashing through. There is a stairway down to a great walk on the beach at this location.

I love to catch the sun half over the horizon, but everything else is a little dark. I could have used a flash to bring out the foreground a little. Maybe next time.

Most of these rocks have names here in Bandon, but I don't currently know what this one is called. It is definitely one of a kind and worth endless rolls of film.

Again, even it is overexposed in the sun this particular rock and surrounding area is worth the wait for just the right shot. Sometimes it points directly at the full moon.

Just before sunset on this particular day, all the clouds were a bright pink, and all the puddles, pools and waves reflected the color of the clouds.

A walk on the Bandon beach at sunset is a very rewarding experience. You just need to watch for the tides coming in at the time you walk.

Nothing like the sun setting on driftwood.
