Roland Jerome

Roland was born and raised on the Maria Mi'kmaq Reservation (now called Gesgapegiag) which is located in Quebec, Canada. For the past 30 years, Roland has been very involved with AA. He has been a drug/alcohol councilor in Canada and the United States. Realizing the need for a program on the Gesgapegiag Reservation, Roland was instrumental in getting a drug/alcohol treatment program put into place. Roland has also worked in the construction business. At one time, he had his own business remodeling homes. Roland recently retired from the Maynard, MA DPW after 12 years of service with them. Roland has been part of UNACC since 1993. He has served as President/Chief for the past 10 years. Roland is married to Barbara. They have been married for 42 years. They have 4 children, Sharon, Rhonda, Angela and Roland along with 7 grandchildren.
